Mark “Spooky” Karol-Chik is an avid writer, classic car aficionado, and old-school alternative music fan. He began spinning tales, most of which feature a classic car somewhere in the storyline, when he was just knee-high to a Ford tire and hasn’t stopped conjuring tales since.

Hailing from the scenic heights of Denver, Colorado, Mark took a wild ride westward in the early 2000s. The vibrant greater Portland, Oregon, area is his current stomping grounds, and he makes his home there with his beloved partner Kitt. His curiosity about the legendary Hangar B in Tillamook, Oregon, was the spark of inspiration for his latest tale.

When he’s not crafting stories, you’ll catch him in his garage tinkering away on his beloved ‘57 Ford pickup or ‘59 Ford Edsel, hunting for treasures in antique stores and estate sales with Kitt, or taking in live music at one of the area’s many local venues.
